Today I finished reading “Blaze” by Stephan King. It was a really good book. This book is the first Stephan King book I have read and I am now a fan of his writing. Like John Grisham, Stephan King writes with such emotion. The ending especially touched me. The book is pretty long but it keep me wanting more. I know I will continue to read his books. If you haven’t already read this book then I really recommend it.
Donkey Story
•May 13, 2009 • Leave a Commentcried horribly. Then, to everyone’s amazement he quieted down.
A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up.
As the farmer’s neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off!
Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a steppingstone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up.
Remember the five simple rules to be happy:
1. Free your heart from hatred – Forgive.
2. Free your mind from worries – Most never happen.
3. Live simply and appreciate what you have.
4. Give more.
5. Expect less
I think this story teaches us a lot. This is from this website. http://www.berro.com/entertainment/donkey_story.htm

•May 12, 2009 • Leave a CommentToday was a little different from other days. First, I thought we had PE but we actually had a classroom activity. Then the second block was the same. Then I had a good lunch. Then for AS we watched a movie that was pretty good. Then finally there was socials in which we took notes and had discussions. Finally I went to my PE teacher and got my field trip form for the DLG sports day stuff. And that was it.

•May 8, 2009 • Leave a CommentToday was just anyother normal day. Nothing out of the ordinary happened. It was just classes and classes and more classes. The day started off with PE. In PE we did soccer in which I was not good at. Then I had Spanish. Spanish was the same old thing. Then I had lunch which was good. Update on the Spring Hoops. We won 3 times and lost once. Then after lunch, I had AS in which we were introduced to something new. Then finally there was another debate in Socials. And that was it.
Who is this calling?
•April 29, 2009 • Leave a CommentThe local high school has a policy that the parents must call the school if a student is to be absent for the day. Kelly (name changed to protect the guilty), deciding to skip school and go to the mall with her friends waited until her parents had left for work and called the school herself. This is the actual conversation of the telephone call.
Kelly: “Hi, I’m calling to report that Kelly so-and-so is unable to make it to school today because she is ill.
Secretary at high school: “Oh, I’m sorry to hear that. I’ll note her absence. Who is this calling?”
Kelly: “This is my mother.”
This is a funny joke from this website. http://www.basicjokes.com/dtitles.php?cid=57

•April 24, 2009 • Leave a CommentToday was a Pro-D day. It was a good rest for me cause I have had quite a week. Tons of basketball and a lot of projects due soon. So today I woke up and started to do some homework. I started with piano. Then I went to the library to get some books. I haven’t finished a book in a while so I am planning on doing so. Then I came back and studied a little bit for English. Then I went to math class. Math class went pretty well. Then I had a eye appointment right after. I had to wait a while for my appointment. I waited about 45 minutes. Then the eye doctor said that both my eyes increased by .75. Then after the appointment I went to Dairy Queen and got the Midnight Truffle Blizzard. It was really good. Then I came back and did some Chinese. After that I studied my English some more. Finally I read.

Heaven
•April 10, 2009 • Leave a CommentThere once was a rich man who was near death. He was very grieved because he had worked so hard for his money and he wanted to take it with him to heaven. So he began to pray that he might be able to take some of his wealth with him.
An angel hears his plea and appears to him.
“Sorry, but you can’t take your wealth with you.”
The man implores the angel to speak to God to see if He might bend the rules. The man continues to pray that his wealth could follow him.
The angel reappears and informs the man that God has decided to allow him to take one suitcase with him. Overjoyed, the man gathers his largest suitcase and fills it with pure gold bars and places it beside his bed.
Soon afterward the man dies and shows up at the Gates of Heaven to greet St. Peter.
Seeing the suitcase St. Peter says,
“Hold on, you can’t bring that in here!”But, the man explains to St. Peter that he has permission and asks him to verify his story with the Lord. Sure enough, St. Peter checks and comes back saying,
“You’re right. You are allowed one carry-on bag, but I’m supposed to check its contents before letting it through.”St. Peter opens the suitcase to inspect the worldly items that the man found too precious to leave behind and exclaims,
“You brought pavement?!!!”I find this stories very very funny. It comes from this website. http://www.funny-stuff-central.com/funny-stories.php
Spring Hoops 09- First Win
•April 4, 2009 • Leave a CommentToday we played our first game. It was against light pink. We came out strong. The score was 7-0 when I went in. Then they scored a couple points. I had a total of 6 points. We won by more than 10 points. It was hard to believe. We did it. But now we have many more games to go. It was sad that the teachers closed the bleachers. The reason was because of the garbage left on the stands the day before. So we played with people watching only from the windows. Overall I think it was a good game and I hope to have more games like this one.
